Monica, RDH​

Monica is one of Dr. Lisa Bentley’s original team members, joining Bentley Dentistry in 1998. With over 25 years of experience, she has been an integral part of our practice, bringing expertise, care, and dedication to her work every day. Monica’s healthcare journey began in 1992 with attending one year of nursing college only to find her true calling in dental hygiene and graduating from George Brown College in 1997.

Monica is known for her meticulous attention to detail and thoroughness in every cleaning. There’s no piece of calculus that escapes her, and her patients appreciate the care and precision she brings to each appointment. Monica is committed to helping patients achieve and maintain optimal oral health, and she takes pride in providing a positive and comfortable experience during every visit.

Outside of work, Monica enjoys staying active and healthy. She is a regular at the gym and loves spending time outdoors, especially on nature walks. Monica also treasures the time she spends with her nieces and nephews, often enjoying family activities and creating lasting memories with them.

One of Monica’s favorite memories from her time with Bentley Dentistry is a team-building trip to the Cayman Islands, where she had the unforgettable experience of swimming with stingrays. She describes it as a life-changing moment that solidified her bond with Dr. Bentley and the team.

Monica’s dedication to her patients, passion for her work, and love for life outside the office make her an invaluable member of the Bentley Dentistry team.

Julia, CDA Level 1

Julia Turcato is a beloved member of Dr. Bentley’s team who has been with us since 1999. She graduated as a Certified Dental Assistant Level I in 1989 and has worked as a dental receptionist ever since. Julia’s warm, respectful, and approachable personality makes her the perfect fit for this role, where she interacts with patients and manages the office with grace and kindness.

Julia’s personality is truly one of a kind—she is one of the nicest, most respectful team members you could ask for, and her love for all living things is boundless. Outside of the office, Julia volunteers at a local dog shelter, where she shares her love and compassion for animals in need. Her affection for dogs and her dedication to helping them find loving homes is just one example of how deeply she cares for others.

Over the years, Julia has also participated in many team-building trips with Dr. Bentley, and she has countless cherished memories from those experiences. Some of her favorites include spending Christmas in New York and, most notably, when Dr. Bentley organized a surprise shopping spree in the office operatories during the challenging times of COVID. That thoughtful gesture helped uplift the team and brought a little joy to an otherwise difficult period, and it’s a moment that Julia and the entire team will never forget.

Outside of work, Julia is a devoted mother to her three children and is deeply dedicated to both her family and her work. Her ability to balance a busy home life with her professional responsibilities is truly inspiring. Whether at home or in the office, Julia’s dedication, love, and commitment shine through in everything she does.

We are incredibly lucky to have Julia as part of our team. Her kindness, loyalty, and the strong relationships she fosters with everyone she encounters make her an essential part of Dr. Bentley’s practice.

Moni, RRDH

Monica Lopez, known as “Moni” to our team and patients, has been an invaluable member of the Bentley Dentistry family since the start of her career in 1999. After graduating from the George Brown College Dental Hygiene program, Moni went on to further specialize by completing the Restorative Dental Hygiene program at George Brown in 2001, where she graduated with honors. As a restorative dental hygienist, Moni is qualified to perform fillings and other advanced procedures, adding a specialized level of care to the services we offer at Bentley Dentistry.

Moni is deeply committed to her professional development and regularly participates in continuing education courses and seminars to stay at the forefront of dental hygiene practices. Her passion for learning allows her to continually expand her knowledge and bring the latest techniques and treatments to her patients.

Beyond her impressive credentials, Moni is known for her exceptional ability to connect with patients, especially children. She has a natural gift for making young patients feel comfortable and at ease, turning what could be a nervous experience into a positive one. Many kids love seeing Moni, and she has a special knack for making their dental visits fun and engaging, ensuring they look forward to returning.

Outside of her professional life, Moni is a dedicated mother to two young boys who play soccer. Despite her busy career, she effortlessly balances work and family life, often seen cheering her kids on from the sidelines of their soccer games. When she’s not working or attending her children’s sporting events, Moni enjoys traveling, watching movies, and spending quality time with her family.

Moni’s warmth, professionalism, and skill make her a beloved member of our team, and we’re proud to have her as part of the Bentley Dentistry family. Whether you’re visiting for routine care or more specialized treatments, Moni’s expertise and gentle approach ensure that every patient feels well-cared-for.

Anka, CDR

Anka’s dental career began when she graduated from George Brown College with a diploma in 2012. She joined Dr. Bentley’s team as a Certified Dental Receptionist in 2014 and quickly became one of our most essential team members. Highly detail oriented and organized, Anka’s meticulous approach ensures that no task goes unnoticed—she is always on top of her work. Her strong work ethic, combined with a knack for problem solving, makes her a reliable team player capable of handling any challenge that comes her way.

What truly sets Anka apart is her warm and personable nature. She has a special gift for making patients feel comfortable and at ease from the moment they walk in. Her friendly demeanor and professional attitude create a welcoming environment for everyone who steps into the office.

Outside the office, you can find Anka on a jet ski, embracing her adventurous spirit on the water. She is a devoted family member and loves spending time with her nieces and nephews. She also has a passion for travel, having started her globetrotting adventures in 2015 with Dr. Bentley. Since then, she has visited 21 countries and has a goal of reaching 40 before she turns 40.

We are incredibly fortunate to have Anka on our team, and her dedication, both in and out of the office, makes her a cherished part of our practice.

Urwa, RDH

Urwa Sajjid joined Dr. Bentley’s team in 2020, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge and experience. Initially starting as Dr. Bentley’s lead assistant, Urwa’s passion for dentistry led her to pursue her role as a dental hygienist, where she now plays a key part in our team. Her background is equally impressive, with a bachelor’s degree double majoring in Biology and Environmental Science from the University of Toronto, which has given her a strong foundation in both science and critical thinking.

Urwa is known for her punctuality, reliability, and her ability to work seamlessly as part of a team. She loves supporting her colleagues and is always ready to lend a helping hand, whether it’s assisting with dental procedures, managing office tasks, or helping at the front desk. Her extensive knowledge of every department in the office allows her to navigate smoothly between roles, and she’s always there to ensure that the office runs efficiently and patients feel well-cared for.

Outside of work, Urwa is a proud mother of two beautiful daughters, Ayra and Aliya. She treasures the time she spends with her family, whether it’s exploring new places through travel or simply enjoying quality time together. Her dedication to her family and her ability to balance both work and life is truly inspiring.
Urwa has a wonderful relationship with Dr. Bentley, and the two share a dynamic partnership that enhances the office environment. Their personalities complement each other perfectly—Dr. Bentley often finds herself “bossed around” by Urwa, and she loves every moment of it. It’s this playful, positive energy that contributes to the great teamwork and camaraderie in the office.

Melissa O., RDH

Melissa  is a skilled and dedicated dental hygienist who has been part of the Bentley Dentistry team since 2020. She graduated in 2016 from the Canadian Academy of Dental Hygiene and quickly became a valued member of our practice. Known for her friendly, easy-going nature, Melissa fits right in with our team, always ready to lend a hand and support her colleagues in any way she can. Her warm, approachable demeanor makes her incredibly easy to talk to, and her efficiency and speed in delivering top-quality care ensure that every patient receives the best experience possible.

In addition to her expertise in dental hygiene, Melissa has a rich and varied background in the arts. She studied piano with the Royal Conservatory of Music and is a self-taught singer. Her love for music and creativity extends beyond the office, as she is also passionate about photography. Melissa enjoys capturing beautiful moments, especially photographing her two children, who are often her inspiration and muses.

Outside of her professional life, Melissa has a deep passion for travel and crafting. Whether it’s exploring new destinations or planning creative and memorable parties, Melissa’s artistic flair and attention to detail shine through. She loves making any occasion special, from small gatherings to large celebrations, and her creativity knows no bounds.

Melissa’s unique blend of professionalism, creativity, and heart makes her an invaluable member of our team. We are proud to have her at Bentley Dentistry and look forward to the continued positive impact she has on both our patients and our office environment.

Vaibhavi

Vaibhavi joined our team in 2022 as a Sterilization Assistant, bringing her expertise and dedication to ensuring the highest standards of safety and cleanliness in our practice. With her HARP certification, she is also qualified to take radiographs, contributing to the overall efficiency and care we provide to our patients.

A skilled dental surgeon from India, Vaibhavi specialized in Endodontics and has a true passion for teaching the subject. Her background in education allows her to provide valuable insights to both our team and our patients, helping to enhance their understanding of dental procedures.

Looking ahead, Vaibhavi is excited to continue her professional journey in Canada. She plans to take her exams and work towards becoming a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), further expanding her expertise and ability to care for patients in the Canadian healthcare system.

Outside of work, Vaibhavi enjoys spending quality time with her husband and is very close to her family back in India. As the only sister to 14 brothers, she cherishes her role as the heart of a large and loving family.

Vaibhavi’s diverse skill set, compassionate nature, and dedication to her profession make her a valued member of our team, and we are grateful to have her with us.

Lisa

Lisa joined our team in 2023, but her connection to Dr. Bentley’s practice goes back much further. Over 25 years ago, Lisa was part of the team that helped design our very first office, laying the foundation for the welcoming and comfortable space we have today. Her involvement in shaping the practice has had a lasting impact, and she continues to be a vital part of our team.

As our dental receptionist, Lisa is known for her calm, composed demeanor and exceptional customer service. She has an innate ability to make patients feel relaxed and at ease, ensuring that every person who walks through our doors feels valued and cared for. Lisa’s thoughtful approach to patient interactions creates a positive, stress-free environment, making each visit a pleasant experience.

Outside of work, Lisa is passionate about cooking and loves to share her culinary creations with family and friends. She also enjoys salsa dancing, bringing a vibrant and energetic spirit to all aspects of her life. Whether she’s dancing to a rhythm or preparing a delicious meal, Lisa’s joyful, fun-loving energy is always contagious.

We are so fortunate to have Lisa on our team. Her deep connection to the practice, combined with her dedication to exceptional service and her calming presence, makes her a cherished member of our office family.

Mandy, CDA Level 2

Mandy graduated as a dental assistant in 2010, having always had a deep love for dentistry. Originally aspiring to become a dental hygienist, life’s busy twists and turns led her to the rewarding role of dental assisting. With three children who are now grown, Mandy has found great satisfaction in her career as a dental assistant, bringing both skill and heart to every patient interaction.

Outside of her work, Mandy’s family is her pride and joy. Her oldest daughter is currently pursuing her degree in Ottawa, while her eldest son has found success as an artist in Los Angeles, signing with both Sony and Warner Records. Her youngest son, also living in LA, works as a fitness trainer. Mandy’s deep connection with her children and their diverse paths in life is a source of inspiration, and she’s proud to see them following their own dreams.

Mandy’s adventurous spirit extends beyond her family life. She’s lived all over the world, including in a remote village in Nigeria and the bustling city of China—experiences that have shaped her empathetic, kind, and driven personality. Her love for sports, physical activities, and the great outdoors is matched only by her passion for travel—whether it’s exploring new places or challenging herself with new adventures.

Known for her self-motivation and positive energy, Mandy brings a cheerful and calming presence to our office. Although she graduated in 2010, Mandy is the newest member of Dr. Bentley’s team and has quickly become a valued part of our family. Her compassionate approach, combined with her strong work ethic, makes her a respected and cherished member of the team. We are thrilled to have Mandy with us and look forward to the continued impact she will make in the lives of our patients and our office family.
